Who we are
Allorai is a curated shopping feed for clothing and accessories, currently operating in the United States. We’re building a product that helps you find things you’ll actually love — without the noise.

What information we collect
To run the waitlist, we collect only your first name and email address.
Once you create an Allorai account, we collect the following:
From the onboarding questionnaire:
- Your date of birth, used to confirm you’re at least 13 years old and to tailor recommendations
- The four Style Signature words you select to describe your aesthetic
- Your size, budget, style preferences, and any other questionnaire answers
As you use the feed:
- Items you view in your feed (impressions)
- Items you save
- Items you hide
- Items you click through to a retailer
- Any preferences you set or update over time
We’ll update this policy before collecting any new categories of data.
How we sign you in
Allorai uses email-based magic link sign-in. When you log in, we email you a one-time link — no password to remember, no password for us to store. We never collect, store, or transmit user passwords.
Why we collect it and how we use it
We use the information we collect to:
- Send you waitlist updates and early access communications
- Build and personalize your shopping feed once the product launches
- Improve our recommendations over time, based on your activity and that of users with similar style profiles
We don’t use your data for advertising, and we won’t sell it. Full stop.
How we use AI
We use Anthropic’s Claude API to analyze and tag products in our catalog — things like aesthetic, fit, formality, and color palette. This is what powers a feed that can match the words in your Style Signature to the right pieces.
This is product-side processing only. We send product descriptions and images from retailer catalogs to Anthropic. We do not send your personal data, your Style Signature, your behavioral data, or anything else that could identify you. Anthropic never sees who you are or what you’re looking at.
Sub-processors and partners
We work with a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Allorai. Each receives only the data it needs for its specific function.
- Supabase — database and authentication. All user data is stored in the United States, in the us-east-1 region.
- Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.
- Resend — transactional email (magic link sign-in, account notifications).
- Anthropic — product catalog analysis. No user data is shared with Anthropic.
- Cookiebot — cookie consent management.
- Cloudflare — DNS, content delivery, and security (DDoS protection).
- AWIN, Rakuten, and Impact — affiliate networks. When you click through to a retailer, these partners receive an anonymous click identifier so we can be credited for the referral. They never receive your name, email, or any other personal data.
We do not sell your personal data.
Where your data lives
All user data is stored in the United States, in Supabase’s us-east-1 region. We don’t transfer your data outside the US.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep the site running properly. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use Allorai — things like which pages are viewed and how people navigate the site.
Essential cookies are necessary for the site to function and cannot be turned off. Analytics cookies are optional and help us improve the experience over time.
Data retention
If you close your account, your data will be retained for up to 30 days before deletion, unless we are legally required to retain it longer. You can request immediate deletion at any time (see Your rights below).
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correctany data that’s inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your personal data
- Export your data in a portable, machine-readable format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@allorai.co. We’ll respond promptly — typically within a few business days.
US state privacy rights
Residents of California (CCPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and Texas (TDPSA) have additional rights under their respective state laws. These include the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you and how it’s used
- Access a copy of that information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Obtain a portable copy of your data
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information
- Opt out of targeted advertising and profiling for advertising purposes
We do not sell personal information, and we do not engage in targeted advertising or profiling for advertising purposes. The opt-out rights still apply — they simply have nothing to opt out of in our case.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@allorai.co. You’re also entitled to appeal a denied request; the appeal process is the same — email us and we’ll handle it.
Teens and minor users
Allorai is intended for users 13 and older. We ask for your date of birth during the onboarding questionnaire to confirm age before an account is created.
If you’re under 13:no account is created, and any data collected up to that point in the questionnaire is discarded immediately. If we ever learn we’ve inadvertently retained data from a user under 13, we delete it promptly upon discovery.
If you’re between 13 and 17:we encourage you to use Allorai with a parent’s or guardian’s awareness. For users in this age range, we do not profile for advertising, sell data, or share identifiable data with brands. Period.
Parents and guardians can contact us at privacy@allorai.coto access, correct, or delete a minor’s data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any significant changes, we’ll let you know by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
